What is professional car wash chemistry and why is it better than standard shampoo?

Professional car wash chemistry is specially tailored to the mechanical and chemical requirements of gantry and tunnel car washes. It is highly concentrated, foam-stable, compatible with dosing systems, and optimised for fast cycle times. U.N. car wash chemistry enables cleaning and care simultaneously in one step.

What makes U.N. 5 NEW special as a car shampoo for car washes?

U.N. 5 NEU is a high-performance car shampoo with a self-drying and water-beading effect: after rinsing, only approx. 10 % residual moisture remains on the vehicle. This significantly reduces the time needed for drying, improves throughput and also helps to protect the paintwork.

What is a rinse aid for washing machines and how does it work?

A drying aid (also known as a rinse aid or drying shampoo) significantly reduces the residual moisture on the vehicle after washing. U.N. 5 NEW combines cleaning and drying aid in one product: the beading effect ensures that water runs off quickly, leaving hardly any residue.

How does U.N. 1001 Superschaum work as a pre-wash for car washes?

U.N. 1001 produces a fine-pored, all-covering foam that loosens dirt and significantly improves the cleaning effect of the main wash. The product is extremely economical due to its high dilution rate. It is phosphate and formaldehyde-free and exceeds WRG requirements.

Why do I need a quick descaler for my portal car wash?

Limescale deposits in nozzles, pipes, boilers and system walls reduce washing performance and shorten the lifespan of the system. U.N. 15R descales quickly and efficiently – it is 3–4 times more effective than pure citric acid and is also suitable for use in closed systems (circulation).

Can I use U.N. 007 as a wheel cleaner in my drive-through car wash?

U.N. 007 is designed for manual spraying onto rims (spray gun or manually with a brush). It can be used as a pre-treatment before the portal wash.

⚠️ Safety warning: U.N. 007 contains hydrofluoric acid. Protective gloves, safety glasses and protective clothing must be worn. Do not use on anodised rims or glass surfaces.

Are the products compatible with my existing portal car wash system?

U.N. 5 NEU and U.N. 1001 are designed for automatic wash systems and are dosed via the system's chemical tank. U.N. 15R can be pumped through in a closed system. We are happy to advise you on the optimal setting for your system.

How economical is professional car wash chemistry from U.N.?

All products are highly concentrated and designed for dilution with water. U.N. 5 NEW and U.N. 1001 are effective even at extremely low concentrations. U.N. 15R is 3–4 times more economical than pure citric acid. Using a single product for multiple applications reduces storage costs and the number of suppliers.

Are the car wash products environmentally friendly?

Yes. The surfactants used are over 90 % biodegradable. U.N. 1001 exceeds the requirements of the Water Resources Act and is free from phosphate, formaldehyde and non-ionic surfactants. All products are AOX-free and contain no heavy metals.
